I used to go for waxing at the place where I had my threading. But before you decide your waxing experts, here's are the thing that you might want to consider
1. Cleanliness & hygiene - Very important, especially if it's Brazilian wax, take note if they are using the same stick to dip in the honey/wax and reapply on your skin. (Imagine if they are using the same stick on you and on others too).
2. Extra services- Other things to compliment your waxing service such as wet wipes, bed cover ( a piece of paper is good enough), towel, after wax cream.
3. Types of waxing
i. Soft wax (normally applied with a piece of cloth to pull your hair), can be painful for a first timer
ii. Hard wax- recommended for first timer - they will peel the hard wax. Normally there's extra charge for hard wax (I prefer hard wax)
iii. Some will be a combination of hard wax, soft wax & plucking
or you can opt for IPL- Honestly, I have never tried IPL before. It's sort of technology used to remove your hair. Once you go for IPL, it's best to maintain with IPL to ensure the consistency. IPL is not advisable for pregnant women. You can find out more on IPL from your waxing experts.
